ALLIUM SATIVUM
Garlic
Acts directly on intestinal mucous membrane increasing peristalsis. Colitis with pathological flora. Vaso-dilatory properties. Arterial hypotension after tincture doses.
Adapted to fleshy subjects with dyspepsia and catarrhal affections. High livers. Meat eaters. Pain in hip, psoas and iliac muscles. Pulmonary tuberculosis.
Cough and expectoration diminish, temperature normalizes, weight and sleep improve. Haemoptysis.
Head.--Heavy; pulsation in temples; catarrhal deafness.
Mouth.--Much sweetish saliva after meals and at night. Sensation of hair on tongue or throat.
Stomach.--Voracious appetite. Burning eructations. Dietary changes cause trouble. Constipation with dull bowel pains. Tongue pale with red papillae.
Respiratory.--Constant rattling mucus in bronchi. Morning cough with tenacious mucus. Sensitive to cold air. Dilated bronchi with fetid expectoration. Darting chest pain.
