The Anacardium patient is found mostly among neurasthenics with nervous dyspepsia relieved by food, impaired memory, depression and irritability. Diminished senses. Fear of examination. Lack of confidence and desire to swear. Sensation of plug and band. Empty stomach relieved by eating. Valuable antidote to Poison-Oak.
Mind.--Fixed ideas. Hallucinations. Dual will sensation. Anxiety as if pursued. Melancholy, violent language, brain-fag, poor memory, absent-minded, suspicious and malicious. Hears distant or dead voices. Senile dementia.
Head.--Vertigo. Plug-like pressing pains worse mental exertion and better eating. Scalp itching and boils.
Eyes.--Plug sensation in orbit. Indistinct vision. Objects seem far away.
Ears.--Plug sensation. Hard hearing.
Nose.--Sneezing. Perverted smell. Coryza with palpitation.
Face.--Blue rings around eyes. Pale face.
Mouth.--Painful vesicles, fetid odor, swollen tongue, saliva, burning lips.
Stomach.--Weak digestion, fullness and distention. Empty feeling relieved by eating. Eructation, nausea, vomiting. Chokes while eating and drinks hastily.
Abdomen.--Plug-like intestinal pain. Rumbling and griping.
Rectum.--Inactive bowels, powerless rectum, difficult stool, itching anus, haemorrhage and haemorrhoids.
Male.--Voluptuous itching, increased desire, emissions and prostatic discharge.
Female.--Leucorrhoea with soreness and itching. Scanty menses.
Respiratory.--Plug sensation in chest, oppression and anxiety better open air. Cough from talking or after temper. Cough after eating with vomiting.
Heart.--Palpitation, stitches and rheumatic pericarditis.
Back.--Shoulder pressure and neck stiffness.
Extremities.--Thumb neuralgia, weakness, bandaged knees, calf cramps, warts and vesicular eruptions.
Sleep.--Sleepless spells and anxious dreams.
Skin.--Intense itching, eczema, vesicles, urticaria, Poison-Oak-like eruptions, warts and ulcers.
